I thought I would bring you up to date on the garage extension, as it has been very quite since the last posting, but the good news is that the door has finally arrived and was going to be fitted Christmas Eve[:)] Guess what, this nearly happened, the builders turned up but couldn't find the bits to attach the door to the wall[:(] to make it worse the door supplier was already on holiday so the builders drove off into the proverbial sunset...Well almost[:0]
Forward on 2 and a half weeks, the builders arrive back and up goes the door with the necessary bits and all is well[:D]
Unfortunately, I can not load any pictures because the photo bucket people have decided to make thing simpler, and taken away the easy to load operation[:(!] Looks like a job for my Son when he visits again.
However things didn't all go to plan after the door was installed[V] When it was time to close the door fully, I think I must have got too excited with all the different buttons to push on the remote control, the door didn't stop automatically, the motor kept turning the roller, things started to twist up until it finally snapped off all the hinges on the certain[:0]
Eventually when I finally realised what was going on I pulled the plug from the socket to cut the power[:(] Faulty operation or faulty operator[?][?][?][?]
I am starting the think I am not supposed to have a door on the garage, can't even show you a picture[V]
It doesn't get any better either, the door supplier is not certain if the manufactor can supply replacement hinges separately[:0]
Hopefully I will know by the weekend.
At least Ruby is drying out beautifully tacked away in the back of the garage[:D]
The glover box door was locked so I haven't been able to look inside, a few weeks ago my Son decided to get a bunch of keys to see if he could unlock it, 11 keys later and of course the last key to try and it was locked and opened...Great[^] What did he find[?][?][?] Nothing, yep a big fat nothing[V] That is until today when I was putting in some electrical sockets, I moved the car so I could gain access to the wall and while doing this I decided to sit in the passenger seat of the TR7 (first time I have ever sat in Ruby) what a pleasant surprise it was, she was very comfortable in deed, plus the passenger seat looks like it has hardly been sat in[;)] While sitting there thinking how nice it would be to travel long distances in this seat I looked inside the glove box and pulled out a key, and of course me being of a very curious nature placed it into the glove box lock...It works, somebody lock the glove box and then put the key inside and closed the door[:o)] I guess it was safe.
Till next time[8D]
Pete
