Hi,

I have never personaly had any problem with the TR Reg, although always seen to have the feeling from a few menbers that they are better than me because there cars have a seperate chassis and mine does not !!!

Went to inter group meeting at the Gun Powder Mills in the spring and our cars were the least reprensented i think there were more TR5 than 7 and 8 's [:0]

I still think that TRDC is the most friendly car club i have ever come across and that is thanks to everyone in the club from the top to bottom. I am a member of both but if i had to give one up it would NOT be the TRDC.

Cheers John

But the funny thing is, that the same club members that used to poke fun at the TR7 are now asking if they can drive my TR8 and they are surprised how it handles and how comfortable it is. A couple of them have even went out and bought a wedge for themselves.

I used to be one of the wedge haters. Then I drove one, a friends TR7 DHC. I knew I wanted more torque and a fixed head though. A few years later I found my FHC TR8 and have been very happy ever since. Don't own my TR6 anymore either and I had owned it for 20 years. I've seen that same type of conversion many times now. Drive a good one, then you want one.

No lack of wedge appreciation at my local club. 3 out of 20 cars at last nights meeting where wedges. And at least 3 others didn't make it last night. 15 years ago at one of their shows I heard enough disparraging remarks about my car that I hadn't been back till last year. Things have certainly changed.
Mid meeting was certainly funny when it started to downpour and half the room went running to put their roofs up.[:D]
