As well as going to Bishops Stortford, I managed to get to Duxford, as it was only 30 mins up the M11. Here are a few of my photos.

Hi Chris,
At the rate im going at I would think I will have the paintwork done by about 2020! and thats just supposing I can agree on the paint colour - I want to stay with Poseidon green.

I keep finding places I want to go and see, i have done just over three thousand miles since the National meet at billing - The LeMans
classic was great but on our next trip to France this year we managed to find the "manoir de L'Automobile" at Loheak(35).Now thats a museum and race track I would recommend to anybody who likes cars!

Cheers

Ian

That is an amphibious VW Schwimmwagen as used by the Wermacht in WW2, it was based on the Kubbelvagen which was based on the early Beetle chassis & engine.
have a look at this link;

I remember building an Airfix model of the schwimmwagen when I was a lot younger than I am now.

I also managed to get to Duxford about 2pm and had a good afternoon looking at the cars and the aircraft, nice weather and a Spitfire buzzing the airfield - Bliss [:p] [:D]
