Recently had something similar with my Samsung TV. Couldn't get Crave to work (it's on of the streaming services that didn't come native with the TV, while it did with others, including Chinese makes). Had to down load it from the net specifically to Samsung. Worked for several years then stopped (you could only go part way into the program). When to delete it so I could reinstall it and there was an update button. Push that, it downloaded the update and is working ever since. I'm certain it had done an automatic update before. Lesson? Don't take anything for granted. If in doubt, reinstall and or update even if the process is supposed to be automatic.
