I find it easiest with the car sitting on it's wheels, with the front wheels up on my 12 inch ramps.

With the 8, if you undo all the nuts on the bolts a half an inch or so, the car will rise up off the subframe, lifted by the front springs. You can then remove one bolt at a time, replacing all the bushes in sequence.

This may not work quite as well with the 7, with it's different engine mount system on one side, but should still work with a little encouragement with a jack, & some cursing, at the appropriate moments.
