If your looking for some good sound deadening material the following link is for a place here in Canada that has some nice stuff at decent pricing. I have not ordered it but know of a few people who have and they say that they are more than satisfied with the product and shipping times as well as price.

Bob started quite a topic...Don, I'm a woodworker (+guitars), but I had never noticed 1/8" MDF... thanks, but has to be brittle, stll should have lots of sound insulating applications. Like your shifter boot! Only the stuff soaks water and distorts...I figure it has to be sealed pre-installation. Also w/ the 1/8" MDF: curves could be matched w/ glued laminations (wet).
I'm waiting for T-bird rear end from welders, meanwhile the doors are out and primed...a good cold weather, inside project.
Google searches have B-quiet as 1/2 the price of Dynamat, and only 1mm thinner. Have to compare B-quiet w/ roofing flashing.

Tom, the stuff I used is sealed .Didn't seem to brittle to me,but I'm not in the field your in. It would take the lamination you mention to bend it. I will be using it also for the a small vinyl covered boards on the sides to.
