Does this mean that the TRDC have beaten the TR Register in the battle for Hearts and Minds as far as the Wedge is concerned??

No, although there was less wedges than usual there was still nearly as many if not more over the course of the weekend (sat + sun) than at Billing i'm afraid. I think its more like the fact that ALL car clubs are seeing significant drops in attendance at events across the board and the IWE, just like Billing is not as big as it once was. Also the wedge owners seem shy to get involved in the arena for some reason????

However, we all still had an awesome time and i'll be nursing the hangover long into the middle of the week I think! No slight on any of the other club great events, they are all brilliant, especially Billing, BUT The TR Register International Weekend is still THE highlight of the TRiumph'ing year - can't beat it. Its like all events - I think you get out what you put in - so its a case of getting a weekend pass, dusting off the tent and joining the party!!!

Usually the TR Register national is excellent but the weather on Sunday would have killed any event. The forecast for Billing on the Sunday was awful but was wrong - that's enough to keep people away now though as Summers ain't what they used to be. Attendances can't be what they were years ago simply because there are so many fewer Triumphs around.

As with our local events i believe the economy has kept many cars in their garages this year

Really enjoyable weekend. KBA did venture into the ring, but only for the Yoof group visits. Once a day was enough for me, so I passed on the wedge presentations in there!

I've put my photos from the weekend online, including some drunken Yoof antics. They can be seen here:
