It was torrential here in Cornwall all week. Made for a wonderful drive in these modern performing TR's!!!

Anyway, just so all you people who were put off by the weather are going to feel really left out, I'm putting a little summary video together which I'll endeavour to get on YouTube. I'm sure everyone who was there will agree, there was more going on at this National Weekend than at any other previous National. Sadly I missed most of the Saturday as I was filming Triumph's in Norfolk but we both really enjoyed the time we had there (despite the howling gale and frequent showers!). So if anyone has video of the road run perhaps that could be put up too???

Had a great weekend. Arrived Friday night and made a weekend of it but still felt like I didnt get a chance to see all the cars properly and catch up with everyone.

Great event and was brill to finaly put some faces to forum names. I was surprised at the quality of the cars as well, hardly a rust bubble to be seen [:D]

How about a video? It's in two parts...

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bltSroQND54

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9xBoJMxaYjE

I hope I got everyone's name correct on the captions. Also, when I refer to ACG97 as the oldest production TR7 on the road this refers to the UK and even though there are a couple of older cars around these were pre-production examples.

Michelle, Grace and I braved horrible driving conditions on the M1 but arrived safely. We came down in the Rover as my Tr7 is still not working. It was fantastic to see all the cars together. It amazed me how few FHC versions were there. I really enjoyed looking at the couple of early white FHC models and Chris' red one that is on the front cover of the new TR7 book. Seeing the rally cars was fantastic and i hope that one day i will be able to bring my car to an event.

So many thanks to the organisers and for all those that brought their cars along for us to look at.

Simon

Yes - great weekend. Really enjoyed meeting so many people off the forum (Steve-a, Steve, Rob, Paul, Samco and Nosher, to name a few) and people whose names we see in the mag. I do have some video of the road run, and photos of the weekend, which I will try to put together and post.

Though it was quite ironic, that Steve-a and I ended up on the the road run together, having done a combined odd 700 miles to get there, from near opposite directions. Hats off though, he bought his TR!! I came in more mundane transport!

Stevie, I dont think we had the normal trophies, if we did it would probably have gone to Jim Tencate from the USA.
