Seats

Postby steve_1360 » 28 Oct 2010 06:05

Does anybody know if you can convert a passenger seat to a drivers seat by swapping the adjuster over? Is it easy to do?
I do have a drivers seat to take the bits off.

Cheers Steve

i think you'll find the Back rest is slightly twisted to aid getting in the car Steve.

But otherwise it should fit without any problems

I did it.

It is possible to swap the seats over but the reclining lever will be nudging the transmission tunnel.

What about the seat belt anchoring point, wouldn't that be on the wrong side as well [?][?][?]

Ok, this was some years ago.

IIRC, there are anchoring points on both sides of the seat for the belts so it's a simple swap over.

It passed several MOT's so no issues there.

There are others on the forum that have done this.

Thanks Guys
I shall try a straight swap first as the passenger seat doesn't get very much use

Easy to switch seat covers from right to left.
