Tacho won't register above 3.5k

Postby Marsu » 02 Oct 2010 04:48

I've swapped out the main, engine, dash and ignition key harnesses recently and since the change the tacho won't register above 3.5k - it just seems to hit that figure on the dial and is stopped.

Has anyone else encountered a similar issue?

Suggestions to rectify appreciated.

I once had a problem like this. it turned out to be a wire on the Tacho at the back that had got in the way of movement of the needle. Take out the Tacho and have a look.
