New Series

Postby FI Spyder » 29 Sep 2010 04:22

There's a new series on HBO called "Call Me Fitz" a comedy staring Jason Priestly (90210) finished with his 11 year race car driving career. He's a used car salesman, guess what he drives after his Mustang gets destroyed. An 81 DHC TR7 or 8 with mini-lite type mags (only seen front and side.) It's gold/beige colour. Seen in bsecond episode. Warning: adult themes and language present. There's an Austin Healey in the showroom. Not a big fan of comedy but shows some promise.

Pretty snappy but very depraved. Somewhat in the Californication mould, ie: not for kids or lay preachers.

But it isn't often you get to see an Austin Mini on American TV. The last time was an episode of CHiPs.

For the record, I would've hit the bunny rather than wreck a classic automobile.

The TR came in the second episode, I missed the first one. I too thought it was Canada's answer to US's Californication. The third episode featured a Vanagon (I believe) when he (and his brother/conscience)went looking for his mother who was hosting a Swinger's party under the guise of a classic car club meeting. Being a used car salesman he may have access to all sorts of (used) classic cars rather than just one ride. There is a competing used car lot acrossed the road filled with classic cars as well, run by either East Indians or Muslims, (couldn't tell). May be a opportunately for the classic car guys in Nova Scotia to pick up some movie money. Part of the hook is ID'ing the classic cars.

jclay, avert your eyes, this show is not for you.[:D]

Hum? And you call me judgmental!

I'm old and set in my ways, but I am not dead yet!
