If fitted properly (front lower then back) compression struts do help a lot against dive under braking.
It will also stiffen up the front because you don't have a bit of "flexible" steel bar acting as tension strut.

For attaching the ARB to the TCA (if fitted at all) I will be be using drop links.

Front coil overs indeed have a camber plate ...

As for the engine, not sure yet,
Will contact the guy who set up my current engine.
As he races Dollie Sprints he should have a solution [:)]
Otherwise I'll have to make up something ...

I think that with the technology we have available now we can avoid many of the reliability issues they had back in the '70s. hopefully!

performance Engine builders are getting Duratecs up to 375bhp and that's N/A. if i remember rightly thats @11000rpm[:0] Ok they're 2.3L but thats still a huge amount. There's no mention of uprated pistons, rods and crank on this super 16v, would the stock bottom end need changing for forged / steel items?

I had a sprint conversion and it was an ex-John Buffum/Don Moore engine that with high compression, dual DCOE webers, header and special cam that resulted in 220hp and it would peg the tach wit ease. Around the town it was a pig below 3500rpms but over that it screamed!

Is this one of yours Beans? I think that when turbocharged they're getting around 700bhp but i need to check that. Any idea what 'box is bolted onto it?

It's an empty block from a friend, used for trial fitting for conversions.
There is a Sierra Cosworth T5 'box behind.

And it is a 2.3 ltr block, which is very tall indeed, for a TR7 I prefer the 2.0 ltr block.
Slightly more clearance at the top ...

Did he have much grief getting the engine to mate to the 'box? i'm pretty sure the duratecs don't share the same bellhousing bolt pattern as the rest of the ford engines. It really is a superb engine though, i think my dinner weighed more than that engine does[:D]

Glad I'm broke at present because there is a brand new [url="http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=320564236066"]Ford Duratec 2.3lt Engine on ebay AU[/url] with opening bid of AU $1,750.00 (approx UKP 1k) with no bidders so far and only 1 day remaining.

But honestly, I don't think it be right to fit this to a wedge, given the potential to achieve high performance from the Sprint, while retaining the integrity of the original marque.

My thoughts exactly. there's plenty of other engines which would be "better" but apart from a few mod cons the engine has to be a triumph. 700bhp + 11000rpm + TR7 though....Mmmmmmmmmmmmmm[:D]
