Hi,

O.M.G. WHAT A SHOW [8D]

Never seen so many TR's in one place [:0], great trade show with all the normal suspects there, lots to do walks in the Malvern Hills, road runs, tech seminars, auto test, ect ect.

Saturday night disco was one of the best i have been to in years with 'our' Wayne doing a excellent set.

Only down side for me was my cooling decided to die [xx(] but stayed out of the worst of the traffic so no harm done, got to get a new one for Harpenden Classis on the common on Wed

Will post sme pictures tomorrow

Good day out & good to see you there, John. Also saw the John & Susi Clancy, sounds like John got some good footage for his next production. I was told Chris Turner was there but did not manage to find you, Chris, sorry we could not say hello.

Certainly a lot of cars there, mostly TRs & other Triumphs but some very nice others including Ferrari, Lotus, TVR.

The genuine RHD TR8 in the Concours Hall was stunning - did it win a prize?

the tr8 won top prize. i did afternoon there didnt realise it was so big i agree what a show, definatly need to plan next year better weekend at billing and malvern are a must.[:D][:D][:D]

I said to Howard after he won, "I bet that's going to upset a few people!" And what was the first thing I heard when I left the hall?... 'I can't believe a TR8 won the car of the show, it's too new'. The lady that said this did get a bit of a telling off from the people she was with though. I just laughed because after all these years the same attitude is there but at least it's diminished to a minority now.

The highlight for me at the weekend was the Sabrina engines. Unbelievable to have a pair of TRS's there. Wonderful!

Dimished, minority, you must be joking, IMHO the commitees of the TR reg and TSSC realise they need the money from TR7 owners,(wedge from the wedge!) but it does not filter down to local level and individual members (usually of a certain age and monetary position) who still believe the TR7 was indended as a replacement for the TR6, not aimed at a different audience.

Howard managed to buy his new old stock carpet set at the Drivers Club National at Billing last year - just shows that if you are in the right place at the right time most things are still available.

I was able to buy a new in the bag original wiring loom for my car at the same time.

Was a real shame I missed the International weekend - work really does get in the way some times!

Great weekend as ever, totally shattered still from running around after the autotest, yoof parties and the disco but a brilliant time was had !! Finally managed to shovel all the thick dust out of the car after the autotest which was for me the highlight of the weekend, great to see so many owners up for taking part. [:D]

Saw a few faces from the forum including Henk, great to meet you face to face at last as I was washing the dust off the car! John Lucas and Zoe as well...

Pleased that Howard won with his TR8 as he's been toiling over that for a very long time. It won on merit as it really has to be the best condition wedge we have seen a malvern for years.

The Yoof took over the disco with Andy Canning for half an hour or so which was fun and then continued to party well into Sunday morning, the sun was well up in the sky when I finally gave in and hit the sack.

Onto Harrogate next year for a totally new experience ooop north! Cant wait [:D]
