Brake problem

77 TR7. Put on New Rotors and Semi-metallic pad 8k miles ago. Had to replace pads.Put on new set of Organic pads. After pads get hot very hard pull to right. Pulls steering wheel out of my hand. Calipers appear to be okay..pistons went in easily when changing pads. After brakes got hot blue smoke poured out of both front wheels. Opened caliper bleeder..was no pressure build up so I believe hoses are ok. Any ideas as to the problem??

I just ordered a set of ceramic pads to try.

Right off the bat, first thing that comes to mind are sticky caliper pistons not releasing when the brake fluid pressure is off.

Please, oh please, remove the calipers and have a qualified brake mechanic check them out. We're talking a serious safety and control issue here.

If you don't know if or when the hoses were last changed I would change them anyways. As you're spending all this money on brakes I'd go for the braided for the heck of it.

Check the caliper pistons for free movement - take out one pad at a time and gently push the brake pedal to move that piston out slightly - then lever back in with a tyre lever. If a piston doesn't slide back easily - it's going to need new seals and a clean up. But why all the fancy pads ? Just use standard pads - they don't last long - so the pistons are kept moving when you renew the pads!

Update to original post.
Found calipers and brake hoses okay. Pulled rear wheels and found both wheel cylinders were frozen so rear brakes were not working. Evidently with only the front brakes working their was too much strain on them causing them to overheat resulting in the brakes getting so hot they would pull excessively to the right.
