It's a beautiful,clear, 75degree day today. I still don't have my car back. When they were buffing the new paint out it started to sag on the front left wing where the major flare repairs were. So, they had to dig the whole thing out and do it again. They are just about ready to paint this fender again and then buff the whole thing out.

The paint started to sag? I don't understand. If cured/dried how can it sag? Or do you mean the filler started to sag? Were they buffing it too hard creating too much heat? Never heard of that happening. Mind you I don't work in a paint shop (although they did try to hire me). I've only buffed up an aeresol can painted door. Can't tell it from the rest of the paint.[8D]

Well maybe sag isn't the right term. It looked a bit saggy to me. He said that there must have still been a little moisture in the fiberglass and the paint blistered when it got hot while buffing. Anyway they dug the whole fender out and re-did it. Hopefully this time it'll stay in place when they buff it.

It can take quite a while for filler to settle completely.
