FHC and DHC door size

Are the DHC doors the same size as the FHC ones? Or are the DHC ones just a fraction bigger?

I meant the length not the hight as I know that they are missing the top part of the frame, where the window goes.

They use the same door skins, sills, hinges, A and B pillars so they are the same

Thanks for that. My friends dad who was looking for some dhc doors was told that they were slightly longer than the fhc ones. I was sure this is not the case as some people get the coupe doors and cut the window frames of to get convertible doors.

if it's had major welding done (badly and not been jigged) then the body can distort giving the appearance of different size doors. Perhaps thats how the story of different size doors came about?

I don't know about that.
I have a very early FHC (#764) and the door structure is slightly too small for the opening. This results in the seal barely touching the door , and not touching the seal at all in the bottom front corner, resulting in horrendous leaks. I have new seals installed but they still do not seal and I have had to glue additional rubber to the door edge in an effort to keep the water out. The skin fits well, with decent gaps, the problem is in the structure. This is in a car that has 100% solid sills and a literally rust free shell with no alignment problems. Could this be a bad early batch of doors? One of the legendary Speke problems?
I do have another pair of doors that I intend to try fitting over the winter. It will be interesting to see if the problem persists.
