Picked up some 'Minilite' style MGF alloys at the weekend, and quickly painted them black to see if i prefer them dark, or silver -

Still have not decided, the wheels will need to have a good rub down anyway as they have had a light coat of grey painted over the original silver.

I've always preferred silver on alloys but black does look mean and moody..............

If you have to rub them down anyway then gold would look good on your car[:)]

Ordinarily I'd say yes to the black wheels, but on a black car? A bit too much black I think. You'd never be able to find your car at night. [:D]
On the other hand, I'm always keen to see wheels done in anything but silver.
Maybe some sort of dark grey/anthracite might work better?

Same wheels as mine, often wondered what they would look like in black/gunmetal grey (on a red car).
I think they look OK, but maybe TR Tony's idea of gold wheels would set it off so much better.

I had thought about gold, but was thinking it might be a bit to 'bling'....

The silver and gold graphics just doesn't go. I was thinking dark charcoal as well but on a black car I'm not so sure. Now there is gold and there is gold... many shades in fact. The right shade would set off the graphics. I think the original alloys were gold on the gold graphic Premium. Maybe the light showed it different from what it really look like but if you picked the right shade it would hit the mark. The gold you show is too yellow and bright, you need a darker more muted gold colour.

Silver wheels looks better, but i should first repair that door and then fit new wheels.
