Well the car has been at the body shop for almost a week now. He is trying to do some forensic work so that he can give me a good estimate. The front left fender flare is the worst spot. They have cracked and started to separate. Water has gotten into the front left and you could see rust stains coming out of the crack. The body guy said that there was still water down inside. The flares were riveted to the fenders but no adhesive was used. This allowed them to separate. Not to mention that way too much bondo was used. With any luck I should have an estimate by the end of the day tomorrow. I'm dreading both the estimate and telling my wife how bad it is. Hopefully it won't be as bad as I'm thinking.
It's weird not seeing it out in the garage. At least the weather has been horrible so that I haven't been missing it too much. My son had to bring his Saab into the garage because it is leaking so bad all of his electricals have gone haywire. Even with a new top it leaks worse than any Triumph I've ever owned.
