Hello, I came across this forum site while surfing another club site and thought I should sign up. So here I am.[:)]
I have been looking for a TR7 for a long time, and after reading all the books on what to look for, what not to buy it started to become very confusing, so I did what any confused person would do, and bought the worst one I could find[:D] So happy as my other car never breaks down or gives me any trouble what so ever[:(]
I now have something to potter about on to keep me out of mischief[^]
The mot is due in 2 months time and I will be starting with the exhaust leaks first, not drastic, can be fixed with cleaning up the joints and even more simply, tightening the manifold bolts, which seem very loose.
Then there is just a little...Well huge amounts of see through bits on the car that I gather were not an optional extra when new[V]
So what I am planning to do is slowly over a period of time, keep another TR7 from meeting it fate and spreading wings to head for the big grave yard in the sky[;)] By doing it this way I can still have a TR7 to use[;)]
VAR started life as a '81 Triton Green DHC, but in the mid to late '80's was strip of her natural born cover and redressed in a dark shade of Blue, which just happens to be my favourite colour, so VAR will stay like that for the foreseeable future.
I will keep an up date of progress as they happen, and let you know if my no cost of any £ exhaust is a successful repair[8D]
I will post some pic's as soon as I know how to do it[?]
Regards
