Good work & good luck. You will want to video any explosions so we can all share the experience.

Good luck Zeke! I'm waiting for the radiator sensor clips and then I think I'm good to go too. A video sounds like a good idea! [8D]

I'll be videoing the start up of my sprint engine after its rebuild even if it does errupt into a huge fireball. We can then all share the pain, or just laugh[:D]

Luckily I don't have a video camera, so no footage when the DHC
erupts in a ball of fire when it's started up for the first time somewhere next week [:D]

Did you not modify your Delco electronic coil/distributor to something different? Just trying to get a base point to were we're starting from.

I feel your pain.

Relax, drink a beer, and think about what it could be before you tear it completely apart (like I always do).

Better yet, buy a good mechanic a beer and have him look at it for you.

Rob -Good Idea
FiSpider- Ya I did

BUUUT before I go there..
I took the distributor Lucas 47DE4-4578 w/crane optical unit
The Crane XR-700 all of these I got from TED
The coil Crane PS20 -Summit
The resistor that came with it
Put a plastic bag on the hole where the distributor was and kicked the front tire hard... really hard

I took the distributor apart at home, found that the top and bottom hard plastic pieces in the distributor where caput.
SO now I have ,nothing, Nada, ZEro ,Zilch.

A Delco distributor not worth Crap
A Delco coil in pieces

A Lucas distributor also in pieces, pieces missing not living and possibly impossible to revive

A Crane electronic unit I can't test to see if it works

And a my kids saying:
Dad the car looks Really, really good but why can't me take it for a ride???.
Children ,Children its a Triumph!!!
you are not supposed to ride it its just for looks and work.

So Now you know
SO Close
But SO Far[V]

I had picked up a NOS Delco electronc distributor on ebay for cheap and a NOS Delco coil on eBay for cheap just for that time when something goes but so far everything is working fine (90,000 miles). If you have the spare parts of hard to get parts in stock nothing will go wrong.[:p]
