There will also be Five TR7’s traveling to the event and camping with the TSSC from the North Wales TRDC area. Of the five cars two are rally reps - one in works V8 colours the other in sprint colours.

With all the TR7/8's attending it would be nice to arrange to get them all in one place for a photo shoot before or after the main event.

Hurray, Tickets have arrived today, excited, but also nervous as my car is still in the garage, had head gasket failure, was removed, machined, and put back together on Monday, pretty certain nothing was done incorrectly, however when running up to temp the timing chain snapped!! luckily only on tickover. Off with the head again to investigate, no damage to valves or pistons, guides, pallets and shims. Took cam off to checked valves moved OK. investigation showed jackshaft had seized in bore, evidence of a metalic substance built up on jackshaft at front end where it runs in the bore and burnt in to it, but bore is ok. Weird as oilways are clear in block and on jackshaft, No signs of any gear damage on water pump or teeth damage to water pump drive on jackshaft that could have provided debris. Had to take engine out to drift jackshaft out by removing core plug at gearbox end.
