Postby gaz » 11 Aug 2008 16:20

i know its not a big one or anything but on sun 24th aug, bank holiday w/kend there is a classic car show in the italian gardens i'll be there and hopefully with, if the pedal car shell if its ready it will be sitting along side

I mention this because one of our fellow members who was born and grew up
in blackpool and has fond memories of stanley park "philip" form S/Africa
and john 215 used to holiday in fleetwood and visit blackpool as child
and few others have mentioned fond memories of the hole they call blackpool
so ill post pics of my two there in the italian gardens
and if anyone is close by it would be great to see ya there

It rides again

Be great to go on Fleetwood Pier through the jolly roger, although dont think i would dive off the end as we use to do as kids [xx(] Is that large tower still out at sea near the mouth of the estory [?]

The fair has gone yes. Not been there for years (Car Park now), everything else pretty much the same. Still the best views from the sea front overlooking Morcambe Bay.

Cheers Colin (Fleetwood)

Hi,
30 years have passed since i was there [:0] so i guess things change, BUT was the first place i saw a TR7 DHC and that my friends is where the story (some may say obsession [:p] ) began!
Is the old world war 2 shipping mine still there near one of the light houses? or been knicked for scrap!!
Cheers John

your not on your own with the fuel tank Colin as the road run at billing showed........
mine could also do with a little,,, replacing [:D]
its all fun.... we'll have to get our cavalry blues out for a run before all the glorious wheather comes to an end [8D] lol,
why don't you come along to stanley park after rugby/football coaching and see the little blue one in the daylight.

It rides again..... and again wehey!!!!!!!
