Kimbolton 2009

We may have had glorious sunshine for the National but boy did it make up for it today at the Kimbolton Country and Classic Show.

For those of you who have not been before this is a show in the grounds of Kimbolton school and all makes turn up, Triumph, Alfa, Jag, Ford, Porsche, MG, Mini, Marcos, TVR, Volvo, Austin Healey, Smart Car, Lotus, over 300 cars.

Last year glorious sunshine but this year was a reminder of how the British weather can conspire to get you very wet.

It was good to see Wedgie Perrin amongst others. Drop me an email with the details of lights we had a chat about.

If you live around the Northants, Beds, Cambs area get yourself over next year, you never know the sun might shine. Even if it does not the Hog Roast baps are generally worth it.

Weather looks very simalar to South Cheshire, again can't beleive the change in this country.

Nice to see three TR7 on the stand.

I hope the weather is better for Castle Coombe in September and Skreens end of this month.

There was good turnout on the stand probably about 10 wedges, along side Heralds, Stags, 6s, 5s, 2000 mk1, Spitfires and GT6s, Dolomite and a Toledo.

Didnt know show was on [:(] [:(] Was looking for something to do as well (was trying to avoid things that need doing if the truth was known!!!) Will put on my calender for next years!

That is the beauty of the English weather, is started off wet got lovely but then when it did rain, it did rain. HORIZONTALLY.

When we drove over from Kettering I was the only one of my convoy who had the roof down because of the rain.

I wish I had got some of the sunny pictures but I only got the rain.

I also nearly ran out of fuel on the way home as Routemaster Rob decided to take a very scenic but petrol station sparse route back to Kettering.

It was good to see you and your wife and I hope you plant survived.

Many thanks, good job the boot was open!
Wondered if you all had been washed away when we returned to a near empty display!
Looked in the lake for flotsom!
Handy tip for you, When low on fuel just put your foot down and get home before it runs out!
