TR Drivers Club Adventurous Activity Weekend

Postby trphil » 10 Mar 2009 12:55

There will be another Adventurous Activity Weekend at Skreens Park, Roxwell in the heart of the Essex countryside near Chelmsford on the weekend of 31st July to 2nd August. This was an absolutely brilliant weekend last year and we are hoping for more people to attend this time around. The cost for the event is only £5 per person plus £5 per camping pitch, this charge will include some activities. Being a scout campsite there are plenty of activities available such as climbing, abseiling, canoeing, shooting and archery. There will be a road run on the Saturday afternoon and a campfire in the evening. This event is definitely NOT just for families, as long as you enjoy a night or two under canvas this is definitely for you.

Further details available on the TR Drivers website:-

Yes,another great weekend last year.Really need more faces this year.
Every one that attended enjoyed the road run,and the Chequers was a
good resting place for food and a beer, very picturesque.

Although i think it is a good weekend

I think it is to near the TR Drivers National at the beginning of the month

to get a big turnout ( I hope I am wrong )

I know I can only make it down from Glasgow to billing in my car once in a month

If there was any way of combining the two I think you may get more people

as long as we had good weather that is ...[:)]

We missed last year because of holiday clash, but will be there this year.

My lad really enjoyed the activities and it is important to keep the next generation triumphing.

Get on down to Essex and have some fun.

Can't make this year but like Simon says, excellant activity weekend. The last time did some absailing and climbing. Can remember it took some time and looked alot higher, when at the top looking down.

If you are looking for a weekend with your children give it a go.

I would but my lads on summer camp with the scouts.

Jim

I remember your face at the top of the absailing tower.

As the advert says " Priceless ".

As for everyone else Skreens is easy to get to about 2hrs from the bottom of the M6.

If you are holidaying in the UK this summer make it part of your holiday plans.

Today the sun shone and Snot came back with her new starter motor happily in place.

Ripped back the roof and a blast down the A14 and then back to home.

When you spend all of your motoring time in a modern diesel tin top it is these small moments of 7 magic that bring a joy to the heart and reawaken your love for driving.

Days like today make having a 7 worth while and the mind wonders to the National and the Adventure Weekend.

The sun, country lanes, BBQs and people who have a passion and enthusiasm about our beloved Wedge bring on Billing and Skreens.

The Adventurous Activity weekend is only two weeks away now and we're certainly looking forward to it.

If anyone wants to turn up on the day that's fine, the more the merrier...

My little lad was 3 when he went up and down the walls at Skreen's two years ago.

Come on John, Harry will race you.

We are heading down on Friday night, where is everyone meeting up and when ?
