Mallory Park 25/26th May.

Postby Chris Turner » 10 Feb 2008 21:18

May 25/26th, Mallory Park The debut of the ex Janspeed Le Mans TR8turbocar.

Just been talking to Mark Field - this is going to be the best meeting for Tiumphs this year, loads of interest for his race and to cap it all THE LE MANS TR8 TURBO will be there !!!!!!!! It's all systems go for Bert Smeets who regularly competed in the TR Championship in a TR4 some years ago. This will be the cars first outing in over 20 years, it currently has 480bhp, will be more when we have extra boost.

He took on the V8 money pit and the rebuild is coming together - so there is to be a demonstration run at Mallory !!

Watch this space as Mark and others have plans to make the weekend even better.

To catch up on the V8's progress read this weeks issue of Classics Monthly where Alec Pringle's ramblings continue in Part 3 of his articles which commenced last year.

Cheers Chris ! Thanks for adding detail onto this forum - only just got round to seeing if you had put something on.

It really should be a great weekend. Two days of assorted racing, Triumph race and Le Mans Turbo look like being the Monday. There should be music and camping / barbeque facilities available for Sunday night. Should be a good warm up before Classic Le Mans and TR Reg, Tr Drivers and TSSC Internationals.[:D]
