Mystical indeed, I'll stick to Castrol SMX-S synthetic gear oil with a viscosity of SAE 75W-85 [8)]
It even got my R380 'box to behave a little bit.<hr height="1" noshade id="quote"></font id="quote"></blockquote id="quote">
Both my cars have Castrol SMX in the boxes. The DHC box is is a second hand unit of unknown mileage fitted by a PO, the other is the original box in my FHC with 13K miles from new. The Castrol gear oil works well - both still baulk just a little from 1st to 2nd when dead cold, but after that very smooth.
