There are two sizes, 16" and 18 inch.
The longest for the driversside.

TR7 Wiper Blades

Postby FI Spyder » 28 Sep 2008 04:00

I replaced mine with narrow gauge refills. The blades were totaly shot, had been stored since 1999 so I don't know how old they actually were. I use Trico since that's the only brand I found that works properly on my Tercel which is known as finicky about blades so I now use them on all my vehicles. 17" drivers side, 18" passenger side as that was what was there.

The oringinal wiper blades would have been 18" for the passenger side & 16" on the drivers side. [:)]

Hmm - I thought it was 17" and 16". But there does seem to be room for slightly longer - on both sides!

Put my last pair of NOS wiper blades on one of my cars (Unipart number GWB200 and GWB271) not so long ago, and they are both (just) under 16" long (± 400 mm).

thanks for the size info guys, guess I'll go with 16" on both sides....

As for the original type of wiper, guess I 'll grab the spring loaded metal frames, as I this is what the car had originally??

Again, if anybody has a pic of an original, please it would be great to see one!!

Not sure why you want the picture but here it is. If I remember write when I got the Trico wipers at local auto parts store they looked it up in the "book" and they said 18" and 17" so that's what I got and fitted. Lost the bottom end clip on a club drive this spring so I put a dab of epoxy on it so it wouldn't walk off.

Hopefully the difference between the two wipers is (still) clear is I had to down-size the picture a bit ...

Well lets just say, it's not because my car is anywhere near concours, but I'd really just like to replace my junks plastic blades with something that looks a little more oem looking....(or maybe I'm just reading Hemming's auction reports a little to much lately ;))

They actually both are original.
The one on the passenger side has a hinged joined in the midlle to allow it to follow the curvature of the the window better

I bought 18 & 17 at Wal-Mart - what a mistake. The 17" was too short, so I put the 18 in it's place. Went back and got a 19", and it was too short!!!! A 19" refill blade measured only 17.5" long!!!!!!! What's up with that?

so, I still have the old nasty one on the driver side. I just haven't been to the parts store to get one of adequate length.
