Hello John your Disc are Brembo FAM 8405 Nr. 08.04748.10

Diameter 240mm high 43mm PCD 95.25 Center hole 66mm Thickness 13mm min 11,7 ...

There is also a Type you could use vented Fam 8970 Nr. 09.4959.20 (136 730 10 240mm Thickness 22 min. 20.5 other stuff the same..

Spot on my friend [:0] How the [}:)] did you know that from a few pictures [?] [?] they are indeed FAM 8405 I have been trying to cross reference with Unipart numbers that start GBD ect. the vented option would mean different carriers and calipers as thicker.

So, do we know the original vehicle application of the disc/rotor? I would really like to source some.

Here are four set for sell on ebay# 160100579805.

it also tells you cars these are off of. they are only in the UK.



the calipers for on this side of the pond are off the Rover Sterling (825/827) or off the Acura Legend 81 thru 86 (rear calipers. you what to collect the brake cables all the hand brake which includes the bracket to bring two cables into one at the handbrake.

the cables has all the mounting hardware just like the S&S Prep setup does. The rear calipers has a guard over the park brake/able mechanism.

The year the cars that i listed for the calipers maybe plus or minus a year or so. When i get back home at the end of the mouth,I'll get my Lucas parts catalog out and give part numbers.

Hi,
My discs are Montego / Maestro for sure but as i said in a previous post have had a lip turned out of them. There is someone on Fleabay doing drilled discs that would <u>poss fit will some maching</u>

Hello John and Paul I hope you have fun so I must tolerate laugh. The end justifies the means (saying)

Since both brake discs have the same height 43mm, the Bracket for the calipers are same, only the boom is longer (wider)

The brake discs are in the Montego, Maestro and MG F to find the ventilated front unventilated depending on the model front and on rear drum brakes ...


The MG TF has 305mm front discs and 240mm at rear .. The lotus elise S1 also has this hole circle (PCD) around 270mm discs but these were made of aluminum - were retrofitted with steel.

It is not possible to put this(above) to front the original Disc are higher 57,6mm and den bold on PCD is 86,5mm ... if you wana a bether brake go for some Ford Escort/ Mercury Disc 260mm 58mm high 09.5134.10 Mercury 85-89 - 25299) Ford Escort/ Pickup P100 PN 1102560
or 240mm 58mm high 09.4914.34 Ford 5023573

This Disc have to be rebored to the Triumph PCD 86,5mm but no Donut needet ... just go and make you own measurement

Sorry mate but no [:(], these discs have a diameter of 9 1/2" where as standard TR7 are 9 3/4" that extra 1/4" inch makes a difference [;)]

How are you getting on with that rear disc conversion ?

Could any one with a S&S rear disc conversion or simular post a picture of the handbrake lever arrangement with compensator when viewed from underneath the car. I imagine all the parts are borrowed from the MGF ? Is this correct anyone ?

Hi,
Must admit i have been busy putting the finishing touches to my DHC, mot ect so things not much further forward [:I] <u>BUT</u> aim to do a few car shows this summer to get some poss cables ect with a view to using this as a winter project, beats decorating [;)]

(parts of) the compensator look like they were made by S&S them selves. But it works ...

Since I've gone digital with my photography I always have a small camera with me while working on the cars. Can sometimes be very handy to know how something should be put back together, or put on here [;)]

Terry - Pat Hall developed a similar setup using readily available US components - from a Miata - I have a set of his brackets in my garage. I'll ping him and see if I can get part numbers.
