One more step, wheels painted

OK prepped and refinished the wheels. The brakes seem to be working too, now we just need some tires.

& the Ladder now has an interesting two tone paint job, does it?

Ah yes, the fancy painted ladder. Actually 2 of them.

Am I glad I kept at it? I wish I hadnt started it.

Now I am seriously considering trading it up to a nice TR8. Not out of frustration, but because it makes sense.

I am heading out now to get some tires.

John, with a 500rwhp Z28 in the drive, don't you think you should be
looking for a single carb Californian TR7, rather than a TR8, so you
can get a feeling for both ends of the sporting motoring spectrum.

I am looking at both ends. The Camaro can go straight really fast, I want to go around corners really fast in a convertible too.

No actually the Camaro has a lot of suspension done to it to, it is just not the same. It probably could outhandle the TR7 or 8 now.

Oh, I just caught the thinner thing. I guess I have been partaking in the thinner a bit too much lately. Thats funny. But in all seriousness, I really cant stand Bud, but the guy that helped likes it, so it is what it is. If I am not enjoying a good stout, I usually drink piss water like Miller Lite. Never Bud. But it made a good bench to mix on.

So I had the tires mounted today. Now I need new lug nuts. Most of mine are either missing or rusty. I am trying to figure out an option to $12 a peice.

Have you tried matching them to a set from Pep Boys, Autozone, or Advance?

Yep, I have tried all the local parts places. It seems Summit racing has them, but they want 25 for a set of 4, so Total of $100. I dont think so. I currently have some acorn style lug nuts on their, and they centered the wheeel and seem to be working well. So maybe I will leave them. They look decent too.

I got a set installed at NTB for $3-4 each a few years back- gorilla lugs with a lifetime warranty, too bad the car didn't last that long.
