Rear fog lights

My TR is due it's mot[:(] and I just found out the rear fogs don't work[xx(] any advice on how to get them working is greatly appreciated[;)]

Your not checking them with main beam are you ??

No Steve they don't work on main head lights or main beam

They shouldn't work when main beam is on.Check that power is getting to the lights when the switch is operated.If it is it will probably be the connections inside the light units, more than likely bad earths.

Hi Steve,
Just a thought, if your car was registerd BEFORE April 1st 1980 then you do not need them for an MOT test. If after that date only need an O/S OR centre rear fog lamp. Hope this helps,

Hi Steve,
DOH [V] well at least if you have to, you swap the N/S to the O/S or use the bits out of one to get it working.They seam very prone to corroding inside.
