I did see that Vic-Brit has them listed and if all else fails I may get one shipped to the border and clear it through customs myself. My other option is to have one installed at a shop in Washington State if they are available there. I would rather have a glass shop supply and install just in case the windshield doesn't fit or gets broken during installation. That way it would be their problem not mine!
As my water pump started weeping last week that will have to be taken care of first. I am thinking that I may just wait till I paint the car to change the screen, if I can put up with the leaks.
As plan B, does anyone know of a windshield sealer that can be applied with the screen in place?

FI, after about 16 hours charge at a bit over 2 amps, the battery
was holding at 12.9v, four hours after I took it off charge.

I cycled the headlights, up & down, four times, & its still holding
at 12.86v. Would this be the case if it had a large internal drain.
I can't find my hydrometer, It must have gone for a walk, like a lot
of things did around here, after my son found cars.

One of the problems around here, & a nice one to have, is that its
safe to leave the house unlocked, & the keys in every vehicle on the
place. The big dogs probably help with that.
Its quite possible that some silly old fart left the ignition on, &
with the battery dead flat, there was no ignition light to tell me,
when I went back.
We do have a technique to avoid this. We turn things off, remove the
keys, then put them back in the ignition, but I may have stuffed up.
It did happen once, I think.

I still have almost 3 months of new for old warranty replacement, on
the thing, so I have time to find out.

I now seem to be paying for my trouble free run, with the 7.

The bloke came, & did a nice job of replacing the windscreen. As it
was a showery day, he did it in the shed.

The next day, when I took it out into the sunlight, I found a film
of something on the screen. I couldn't get it clean, so I called
the company. When he came to check it out, the bloke got a very
little bit of it clean, in about 20 minutes, with jewelers rouge, &
said, forget it.

He's coming next thursday to fit another new screen.

I can not complain about their service, but it's a of a pain.

Well, the windscreen is an on going problem.

The bloke doing the job is great, you could not ask for better, but
I'm not too sure about his supplier.

As promised, he came back & fitted another new screen. Before he
fitted it we checked it out, looking through it, with it held at
different angles to the sun, & decided it was fine.

Well, after it was fitted it was not fine. We have decided the
problem is in the film, between the glass. When I drove it into a
setting sun, there was the cloudy effect, & it was there at night,
with oncomming head lights. Not too bad to use, but not too good.

Well, he rang me this afternoon to tell me he has another new
screen, this one made only this monday, & he checked it out, looking
into the setting sun yesterday afternoon. He's comming tomorrow
afternoon to fit it. I doubt he's made any money, this is the third
one he will have fitted. I hope his supplier is giving him some
compensation, as he has not asked me for any more money.

One advantage about living in the bush, most small business give
much better service than you get in the city.

That said, I sure hope I don't see this bloke again, any time soon,
I'm sick of windscreens.

Interesting. I've never seen that phenomenon, but I sure hate any windscreen that makes it tough to see through in strong sunlight. We get a lot of rain here, and a pitted windscreen can also be a huge safety issue at night. But a fog between the layers is something new to look for.

Rich, do you have your new one installed? I'm sure you are now looking at it very carefully[}:)] Where did it come from and how much did it end up costing?

Launie,
I still haven't installed the new screen. It's sitting in the corner of my living room. I have been thinking about getting the car painted and may wait until then. I still don't know what it cost me. I just had them charge it to my visa, and the bill hasn't arrived yet.
I expect to get the gas tank back from the welder in the next couple of days. I have a sealant kit and a new sender ready to go. I was hoping to do the swap this weekend but it doesn't look like I will have enough time for the sealant to set up before then.
