BRAKES WORKING FINALLY!!!

OK now we have brakes. Replaced both rear cylinders, all the brake lines, rebuilt the front calipers, replaced the prop valve, and rebuilt a master cylinder that Ted dropped off. So now we have brakes.

I tinkered a little more on the engine, replaced the cap and rotor and it is running smoother now. I am working out some of the electrical now. Funny, the headlights work fine, but no other lights work.

Yeah, I think so too. It sat a long time, so I am guessing grounds and reseat the electrical plugs and it will work. I started preping the wheels for paint, but I dont know if I am going to use them or not.

I had the problem of the headlights working and nothing else. It was corroded contacts on the switch.

My present car was the same. Headlights Ok, but nothing else.

Did all the usual with the wiring, with some success.

My main problem was getting good contacy between the globe holder,
& the rear light castings.
It was easy enough to get them working, but harder to keep them
working longer than a few weeks, apart from the indicators.

This converted me to the use it, or loose it belief, & I now cycle
through all the lights, every time I start the car, in the shed, &
most times wherever it is.

Since I started doing this, I have very little trouble with any of it.

For the rear lights I ran additional ground wires from the unused spade connectors on the bulb holders to one of the taillight mounting bolts.

Remember, all of the other lights on the car are on two separate fuses. I would check them first. I assume that you have pulled the light bulbs and checked them.

Honestly, I havent checked anythign yet. I just noticed that one of the tail lights illuminates when the car is running, but nothing else works except the headlights. I only just started checking them out, since I havent been able to drive it anyway. The turn indicators do not work either.
