The standard factory sized decals on my 1982 Solihull dhc are;

"Triumph" = 9 1/2 inches long by 1 inch high
" TR7" = 8 inches long by 2 inches high

Here some good shots of the custom chrome vynil lettering I made up a couple of years ago, in the factory sizes.....

yeah, it did give a rather neat effect to the car, much better that I thought they would, actually. Best part is most people don't notice the slight deviation from stock, untill you mention it to them....

What I also find cool is that depending on the angles, and sunlight...they even seem to disappear sometimes.

Should look great on a dark colour, can't wait to see what yours will look like [8D]

My thought was to have them made up in the exact body color, but totally flat (no gloss). I saw a sort of "banding" done on a local hot-rod/muscle car that was like this, and the effect was both subtle and stunning. Has anyone seen this done?

Ah man, they look superb Gaz !!!!!!!! **** Thumbs up ***(

Paul, I made the tr7.com decals up a few year back ,with help from a friend who runs a graphics shop.

There was some light talk about doing something along these lines back then, I had sent a few samples off to Jay, and he was also looking into static window stickers, but they were going to be a tad pricey. There was some talk about perhaps running off a batch of stickers or two, but I think it got put on the back burner for some reason....
(maybe it could of had to do with my wife popping out babies or something at the time, lol?????)

They were just simple small vynil decals made out of 3M materials ,and were if I remember correctly going to cost me a couple of bucks each (possibly less), basically just to cover material charges depending on how many I actually made.

With permission from Trisha, maybe we could look back into this , if the demande was there......I'm game to handle it, if you guys want!

Ron.
