hello,
for an assembly of an electronic ignition module, on a tr7 1978 with a delco D302, the black wire (ground) connects on the less coil and the red wire (12V) goes where?
it is written that it should not be connected to the 12volts coil, but rather after the ignition of the key.
so where did you plug it in and on what color of wire?

Can't help you there. Do you have a wiring diagram?
That should indicate where everything goes.

Hi,

I have a wiring diagram of a 1980 European spec TR7 that I can send to you if you forward a pm.

It shows the black wire from the distributor going to ground / earth but the other wire on the distributor is White / Black.

Is your car an American specification with electronic ignition?

Sorry, guys I don't speak English well, so here is a picture.
I want to know where to connect the red wire of the accuspark, elsewhere than on the + coil.

12 volts are needed after contact

The red wire needs to be connected to a clean 12 volt source that is turned on/off by the key. The wire at the coil is not good as it is resistance wire (Thus reducing the voltage)so that the coil functions correctly.

Hi Olivier,

The Accuspark system requires 12 volts. The white wire is associated with the ballast (eureka) wire and I assume that it therefore carries 6 volts which is not suitable. The red and white wire should supply 12 volts from the ignition switch so this would seem to be the one to use. Just to be sure I would test the voltage on this wire using a tester before you connect it to the red wire.

corrigendum:
ignition key solenoid
brown is the arrival of 12 volts
white / red is + 12v when starting the engine, but not when the engine is running.
White / pink is + 12v when the engine is running, but not when the engine is starting.
White is + 12v while the engine is starting AND when the engine is running.

therefore connect the red wire to the white wire behind the ignition key

Note the black wire from the trigger unit is NOT a Ground, do not run it to ground anywhere. Do not ground the trigger unit or the coil.
