Hi,

I did notice these cruise lights at TR Reg IWE on a Irish TR7 V8, didn't see them lit up but something different !

On my car I have the rear cruise lights. They are on when the lights are on.

I was wondering if anyone has wired them up to flash when the indicators are on too, or would that not be allowed on the roads as the flasher needs to be amber?

Thinking that too mate, use amber ones. So that when you indicate they flash and when you are driving they are on all the time, driving cruse lights.

Did the same as Cobber. Feed is taken from the closest original indicator. So they indicate only

Putting them as a cruise light and an indicator is more bother than it is worth.

If you wire it up to side lights and then indicate, when the back light goes on the cruise light will go out they don't flash in the same sequence.

I think you need to put a relay on each light for it to work sequence

I wired my fronts as sidelights and also to flash and indeed they do alternate their flash but it does not cause me to worry,Steve..

I believe indicators not flashing simultaneously is an MOT fail. I also understand the vehicle lighting regs only allow for one repeater.

This would depend on the juristiction.
Here in Victoria Australia, there is no limit on the number of repeaters but they must be Amber, where as red cruise lights would probably be a technical fail ( most coppers wouldn't bother, but a nasty bastard would book you for it)

Only the fronts flash and Mot has been no problem and you can only see the side or the front but not together.Steve..

as I wondered if you could have amber rear cruise lights that flash with the rear indicators.

I have flashing amber at the front - I reckon they're a must have.

I have red at the back that light up with the side lights.

Flashing red is a fail as "direction indicators" must be amber after 1/9/65 it looks like flashing amber isn't ok at the rear.

I'd expect that since I can't recall any cars having flashing rear "side direction indicators" that it isn't.
