Weathershields Sunroof fitting - HELP!

Hi folks. I am having a hell of a job refitting the above. I just can't get the roof to go back in, i.e. engaging all four sliders in the metal channels. I can get one side in but not the other; I've tried putting the whole roof in at an angle to kind of stretch the distance between the sliders and then straighten the whole thing up, but to no avail.

It came out over 20 years ago so "installation is the reverse of removal" as per the books doesn't work for me, as I have forgotten how it came out!!

Any advice is will be seized upon with much glee.

To long ago to remember correctly (blanking plates at the back of the sliding rails?)
Might have a look at a spare sunroof in the shed within the next few weeks if still needed

Thanks beans. I managed to get it in by putting it in at an angle, but doing that has destroyed one front slider (the plastic cap, not the metal bit). The sliders were aftermarket nylon parts from Littleport Boat Haven, and look like they are 3D printed.

Any ideas would be great.

On my Edrose there are ±10 cm gaps at the back of the side rails .
Feed in the sunroof's slides through these holes and move it as far forward as possible.
Fit the blanking plates (2 screws each) pull the sunroof back and fit the rear rail to the roof.

I just read in your other post that you have a short sunroof, and that got me thinking ...
I misintepreted your type, I was referring to the (full length ) Edrose type ... apologies for the confusion
