Agreed,
Sadly could only make it for Sunday, but for me it was one of the friendliest days. What a wonderful collection of cars and their owners from all over the globe.

Thanks to all those who put in months of hard work to make a great time for everyone.

Cheers

Hi all,
i want to say thank you once more to all TRDC-members who i met at this weekend, especially Simon who organized
the seat for me in Sam`s TR8 for the ride and Sam who picked me up. I enjoyed the ride and the short brake for having a drink and a talk with Colin about his car. It was so cosy there to stay a bit longer, but the ride has had to go on. Also especially thanks to Andy who gave me a lift back to my hotel in Banbury. It was so unbelievable kind of him. For me it
was a feeling like meeting old friends or members of the family, very familiar. I´m also happy about that Andy introduced me to Harris Mann. Remembering the meeting i should have asked Harris Mann some questions about the introduction of the TR7 DHC on the 1980 international car show IAA in Frankfurt (Germany). I got the TR7 Virus when i was sitting in the brand new car there and getting the most impression on it.
I hope to get a better contact to you next time via e-mail or phone. Maybe i have to upgrade my profile in this forum.
I´m looking forward to visit the meeting with my own car next year, hope to get it finished until then.
:D

Roger, just as well you didn't ask Harris about the introduction of the TR7 drophead because he wasn't involved at all by then. Harris was the stylist of the original shape and the drophead was modified in-house from this and then finished off in Turin by Giovanni Michelotti's studio. Harris's involvement was all up-front and because he was Austin-Morris was cut out from almost everything from then on.
