rev counter wiring help please..

hi all,could some kind soul please tell me what colour wire goes to the coil for the rev counter,car is a 1976 tr7 .cant seem to find a decent wiring diagram anywhere, thanks greasemonkey

From memory white and slate, but my memory not as good as it once was.
If it's not broke don't fix it.

I think your memory is still pretty good :wink: ,
as WS is the colour my very early (1975-1976) workshop manual states for the wires between coil and tachometer.

And it usually got an male connector on the wire end

Well what do you know i got it right!

I have had the dash off so many times, i have started doing it in my sleep.
If it's not broke don't fix it.

thanks for your help gentlemen,i have found a slate/grey wire and will connect it up later and see if the rec counter works.the wiring is a bit of a mishmash due to my wiring efforts when i fitted the v8,cheers greasemonkey
