Headlamp panel WKC4077

Postby Rich K » 11 Nov 2016 15:06

Hi, I just submitted a "wanted" post in the parts section but thought it was worth a general post as well. I am looking for a new headlamp panel WKC4077. I spoke to Rimmers who are out of stock and apparently they have to order in batches of 200 from the manufacturer. This seems like bad news for the future availability of this panel as I doubt whether the number of surviving cars is sufficient to provide enough demand for suppliers like Rimmers to order and hold inventory.
Cheers,
Rich.

Have you tried the other usual suspects as in S&S, Robsport, TD Fitchet, James Paddock etc ? There should be one with your name on it out there, just got to find it......

Hi, thanks for your comments; I will ring around the usual suspects. I started with Rimmers as they are running a 15% sale on Triumph parts until Sunday. As you say, there must be one out there somewhere. I actually have a new old stock panel already but it has some surface rust from storage. I will use it if I have to but would prefer a new one if possible.
Cheers,
Rich.

My lucky day! Those fine chaps at Robsport had one in stock and it should be in my hands tomorrow. Hopefully I will be welding it in at the weekend together with a new wing.
