WHEEL ARCH LINERS

Postby gorann24 » 18 Oct 2016 19:43

Hi All,
As the title says I have been looking for wheel arch liners for the TR7 without much luck, I had a pair fitted to the front inner wings of my MGB GT, and thought they were a good idea,I unscrewed them and cleaned and painted both the inner and back of the liner over the winter when I owned the GT.
Any idea's who might sell them for the TR7's?
Thanks,
Gordon

To the best of my knowledge they are not available. I seem to recall a forum member making their own from corrugated plastic. supercass

I guess they are out of business or do not do them anymore, but circa 1989 I purchased some for my Manta GTE, cannot recall their name ( ...... mouldings)
but they did many others. Not much help I know, but I have heard of people making their own from the plastic wheel arches you can buy for trailers and trucks.
Alternatively, scarp yard investigation from a more modern car.

Thanks for the replies will look at maybe getting modern ones an altering them to suit or maybe just go for a good quality underseal .

The company that was quite well known was Lokari. Believe they are still in business. They did not / do not list them for the TR7 though. supercass

I personally have never seen any of them and the search on net was not very successful. It sure would be a good idea though to stop the stones from chipping the paint on the inner side of the arched. If they are available for the MG's then I am sure there must be some for the tr, some where. Finding them though is the million dollar question. I wonder if it would be worth trying to get a company like "Lokari" to make a batch of them (or another company).

That would be a good idea. I would be up for a set.
