Upraded callipers and discs

Postby Spike » 10 Apr 2016 17:50

Had a fun afternoon fitting a second hand set of disc and callipers (think they're a RImmer set) and Goodridge hoses.

One question I had, was how much clearance should there be between the front of the hub and the edge of the calliper. Done the drivers side and there's about a 1mm clearance.

When I do the other side I'll get some photos - can't wait to try them out.

Looks very similar to mine, though mine only have one bleed nipple up where the pipe comes in.

The calipers I've got are almost flush with the face of the hub and only a mm or so from the edge. Yours sit back a bit behind the face.

I'll try and get a photo sorted out, though the tacky gold paint (which didn't go on very well) I used makes me a tad embarrassed.
