I had mine on the drive earlier this week. A bloke in his 50's walked past.
"I always thought those X1/9's were smaller", he said.
"They never had a Triumph badge on the nose either", I said.
After a few minutes it turned out that he'd had a few classics back in the day. He mourned the day he sold his black Ford Capri 2.8i but was glad to see the back of an ageing Lancia Beta which appeared to dissolve itself on his driveway.
It's funny how our cars get people talking, even if they think it's something else.
