Silverstone Classic In A TR7 V8 Video

Postby john 215 » 02 Aug 2015 12:32

Hi,

Last weekend on the Saturday evening as part of the 40 years since TR7's launch stateside we got to drive the full Silverstone circuit at the Silverstone Classic. I borrowed a Go Pro from a mate at work and despite it only ever being used on his ' Busa ' so only had motorbike friendly fixtures, managed to nail it to the screen of my 4.6. I thought this morning I may as well share with you gents if you are interested. I am no Mr Clancy but its ok, my favourite bit is about 6.20 in where I manged to get her up to about 3k and she was just starting to wake up a little after pottering around behind some slow TR4's !!!! You will also notice 'our ' Andy in his stunning Triton FHC, proving you can have a show winning car and still drive it..... hard !

Hope you enjoy

I hope they didn't charge you to sit in that traffic jam? But it was good to see all the TRs driving and particularly when you blast through the middle of them. The cars against the backdrop of some wonderful cloud formations looked very nice.

Looks like the organizers need to vastly reduce the number of cars out on track simultaneously. We couldn't make it because we'd only been at Silverstone a weekend or two before and had to put the resultant BMC/BL Works DVD together. Also, the expense of admission made it a non-starter from what I recall.

Very nice. The cars were great. Your car sounds awesome. I loved the little blast up the middle. The sky was lovely too.

Was so lucky with not only with loan of camera but positioned it by chance ( mate left clip on view finder at home )

Got a great video of all the car's in the line up..... only to find I had my finger over the bl888dy lense  still good clip though.... if only for private viewing !

I could not do that, a parade lap at Silverstone. I would be too much like Monica's facebook video of her driving her Spider, "Come on move it, get it on". :P
