For those NOT on Facebook...

Postby Maxwell » 13 Jul 2015 00:38

Last push for submissions for the forthcoming book - 'A Celebration of all Things Seven'.
We still need six or seven anecdotes to fill the book - and for Seven read TR7, TR7\V8 and TR8.
Just the bones, between 400 and 1400 words scribbled down in a Word document - I'll untangle it and sort it all out!

One submission failed to say whether the Wedge in question was a Fixed Head, a Drop Head, what the colour was, whether it had steel wheels or alloys...
It could just have easily been an Allegro! Still, we got there in the end!

Another started - 'Here's my 400 words...' and finished up being 1650 words!
Golly - did he [or she] wander off-topic!

Who dares to get into the last six?

'A Celebration Of All Things SEVEN' is all-but done.
Two pages left now, so content is no longer a problem!
Next, a massive proof-read, and then a trip to the Printer.
A big 'Thank You' to Howard Griffiths for producing a simply stunning cover - this will break 'cover' soon!

Then, a dedicated button will go on the TRDC Regalia page to pre-order...
It's a Hard Back - I was going to use what they call a 'Limp' cover but have decided on a Hardback with a Dust Cover...
Now. Important.
If anyone who's submitted would like to review my edit of their text, please contact me, otherwise I will consider it to be a big Thumbs-Up!

YIPPEEEEE!
224 Pages, done and dusted!
Now - to Proof-read!
Then to get it to the printer.
Then set up a 'Buy-It' button on the TRDC Regalia Page.
Then, get 100 copies to the NEC for a November launch!
The price? £19:95, Plus P&P
Questions?

Dave - I think there's a fundamental flaw in your thinking - you have failed to grasp the concept of Steam-power. The fire is meant to be contained in a fire-box, not in the engine-bay!

Ready to read everyone's stories. I hope I wasn't the person being made fun of for way more than 400 words. :D
