We had a dreadful first few hours trying to avoid the carnage of the Silverstone traffic. Despite going many miles out of our way it just couldn't be avoided despite leaving Billing about 5pm. Still, once we got through it we sailed home and the whole journey only ended up taking six hours in the end, probably because I drove somewhat faster than usual to make up some time.

But despite the awful journey we both had a very enjoyable time with everyone at the National. It really is good to spend a little time with everyone we know so well but only see once or twice a year. What a very nice club the TR Drivers is.

The new car won't be on the road next year. Hope to start the restoration late 2017 and have it at Billing for 2019. Sounds like a long way away but we need to save up to do it properly. Once I've got the hang of getting photos on to this new site I'll start a blog on 'Project Banana' as we like to call it.
