Alan don't worry I'm sure Simon will be able to sort it out on Monday
I've spoken to Billing myself today and have confirmed they have it down as a two nights stay, so I would say anyone planning to stay Saturday night only, hang fire until I've posted back.

Alan - Ring them. Teal Meadow is reserved for TRDC and there are places, regardless of what the on-line bit says. I had the choice of staying one night or two - and got the TRDC Discount.
This was only two days ago...

Andrew, I did call them as I couldn't get it to work on line (Teal Meadow shown as 'Sold Out'). That's when the woman said you could only book for 2 days. Hopefully Gaz/Simon will get it cleared up or I shall book in on the day (hopefully after 125 mile drive!).

Hi Calvin
Food wise there is catering on site and just off site, many people bring a BBQ and or stoves. And cook there own.
I believe this year Simon is sorting out a few takeaway menu's which will be available in the bar area and of course anything ordered can be eaten in the marquee on Saturday evening.
There is a Indian restaurant very close to the field who serves a full English in the mornings.
And the bar will stocked with crisps/snacks etc. soft drinks and a selection of beers and cider.
This year for the first time there will be chilled Leffe on draught (which has become the patron beer of Billing)
also this year there will be "TR Zyder"...... A very smooth and very drinkable Cider with a barrage apples exploding in your mouth......
.......then there's "Birts Whistle Wetter" a very easy drinking light golden beer, what more could you want on a sunny afternoon at The Harris Arms.

So I named the beer then...this is a proud moment, Birt's whistle Wetter. I am slightly overwhelmed, will have to try it at Billing. YAY!!!!
Thanks, for the info, I think a small portable bbq may have to be purchased too.
Going to sob with pride in a corner. I think my Dad will probably start too.

I am really dissapointed that I can't make Billing this year, my FHC is all ready to go but I suffered a heart attack last weekend  and I am 'confined to barracks' for the next few weeks.

When the doctors told me that I couldn't drive for a month anyway it pretty much gives me a couple of months to get my DHC sorted after I rebuilt the cylinder head when the head gasket blew at its MOT.

Anyway, to all the great people I have met at Billing over the past ten years, have a great time and may the weather be kind to you, see you next year.

Dave, that's unlucky, I had one last year and had to endure the month off driving. Still, I got a month of pampering from all around me and I watched loads of films including a beginning to end "the longest day" which was quite epic.
My first drive after the month was great, absence makes the heart grow stronger in this case so have a relax and come back to it all with a vengeance! Hope to see you out and about in around 28 days, and let us know when you get behind the wheel again.

Hi Dave,

Sorry to hear about your heart attack mate, hope you are on the mend.

Calvin, as far as food there is lots of options, we tend to eat at the Billing Mill where there monster burgers have become a Friday night tradition and where else in the world can you have a full English breakfast in Vinnies Indian restaurant, they also have a chip shop attached if you fancy them.

Hope this weather holds, last year on the Friday night we had a great lighting storm to watch 8)

Cheers John
