Hi,

Popped along to this reasonably local show yesterday, very good turn out and for a change I wasn't the only TR7 in the village -

Lots of bike pictures. I used to be a motorcycle rider back in the day. Back then and right through to this day I always thought the 1968 (and similar years) Triumph Trophy/Bonneville was the nicest looking bike ever built. Quintessential, slim line of the cylinders as they entered the crankcase, taught line of the exhaust pipes (not a hint of bulbousness), the perfect lines of the gas tank, minimalist and perfectly balanced of the back half, smooth flowing design of the crankcase. Not a line would I change, not a jarring line, a perfect marriage of form and function. That's why I bought one. To quote Joni Mitchell, you don't know what you have till it's gone.

Hi Gents,

Ron, no idea about the seats but will ask next time I see the owner and car together, they appear to fit really well, will try and get a sit in her to try them out,

FI Syder, thanks for comments, love the Cafe Racer style of bike like the Norton or is it a Triton, should have looked closer. If I had been born a few years earlier I would have had one for sure. Will take bike shots from now on when possible 8)

A few more car shots of one's that caught my eye -

For a MG, I thought this was a great looking car :)

This Split Screen Moggy had a supercharged over head valve period conversion, love the look of this car 8) Anyone with some cash can pay a specialist to work and restore there car but like me the owner does it all himself and wants the un-restored look. BUILT NOT BROUGHT

thanks for the update Stevie .....and for the record we call them Miatas ;)

the headrests look a tad high but the rest of the seat does not look out of place. I believe reading somewhere that they don't require too much modification either ??

Johhny I love the obscure car pics even more than the exotics !!

Hi Ron,

Thanks fella, same as yourself its odd ball and what were once everyday car's that interest me, the exotics will always be there due the value, but your average car they tend to just disappear

MX5 seats are a popular choice over here with the TR6 boys, if they in one of them shouldn't be to hard to nail in ours, although I see nowt wrong with standard seats. I think some MX5 seats come with speakers built in ? at least I would be able to hear some music then so I guess that would be a improvement !

Cheers John
