'Rodney' - a 1975 TR7 is very unhappy with George Osbourne - built 1975 but regitered later !

Up to now the definition for Historic VED has been BUILT before 1st January 2014, rather than the registration date & it was due to change to 1st January 2015 with effect from 1st April 2015, then rolling forward a year every 1st April.

So I think the report in John's link is misleading. And when does the 1st January 1976 (i.e. cars built in 1975) cut off date come into force - I thought it would be 1st April 2016, based on the HMRC documentation I have read.

Don't get too excited yet Roy ....[:(]

Too true Tony, thats why I stated if the article is correct. I hope it just keeps going so we in the UK can all benefit in the next 5 years.
If the Government changes in May who know what may change?
