The previous owner of my car went to great lengths to do all the dash lighting red, in this case I eliminated the dimmer altogether as it's not too bright at the max setting and the dimmer was buggered.

I have poor night vision, so I'm no fan of overly bright instrument lights and looking at those pix above those blue lights across the centre of the dash and the illumination of the console would be way too much of an irritant for me.
And I despise those car stereos with the bright colourful flashing equaliser displays. Sound is something your meant to hear and not see!

My MGF has it's instruments illuminated yellow, I like it, but there are a lot that think it's not bright enough and/or want too change the colour.

I guess it all depends on the eyes of the individual, if your eyes a buggered old things like mine bright dash lights aren't good, if your eyes are better you don't mind.

Not for the purist but for those interested you need to pop out the green domes,
remove the standard bulbs and insert T10 9SMD LED green wedges <hr height="1" noshade id="quote"></font id="quote"></blockquote id="quote"> Nothing is ever new under the sun you know. We did that project way back in November of 2008...

I ordered 4 green for dash when they come back I will try them and then decide how many for above the stereo 2 or 4 depending how bright. I believe they are different connectors too from memory ( anyone who knows please confirm if they are the same or not ) my stereo has lots of light so may go with 2 and will order them then with another month wait from china lol they are not so important the the main thing I want it to be able to see speedo as there's lots of cameras where I live and my dash lights are quite dim above pics look great guys

If it makes you smile it's the right car :-)
