Missing Heater Ducting

Noticed on my car today the heater duct for the passenger side windscreen was not connected beneath the grill on the dashboard. On further inspection I found the entire duct from heater to screen is missing, I assume as this car is totally unmolested that it left the factory without this part being fitted!! So much for the production problems being sorted a Solihull.
Would anybody happen to have the parts I'm missing spare? They are XKC 768 lower demister duct & YKC 573 upper demister duct. I think they're handed parts so need to be for the passenger side. [:)]

Andy - not sure what the part looks like, but I'm fairly sure I have some black piping around 3-inch diameter that came from the car we broke... Left and right....

I have got all of those plastic pipes/ducts from a couple of cars, if you can just identify which bits you want. I am in Gloucestershire.

I believe what he is in need of is the left hand side black plactic directional housing that has a retangular base that snaps into the bottom of the heater than directs the air on to the windshield. The part numbers are correct but Rimmers does not have pictures, only lists as upper duct and duct. This unit is usually secured with 2 screws to the dashboard at the base of the windshield. Top is about 10 inches x 2 with slots for the air to come out of.

I have a very old catalog from which I am giving this description.

I too had Solihull build quality issues with my coupe. Like yours it was totally original & unmolested when I bought it, with 4,500 miles on the clock & had been in storage for 23 years. The first time I drove it at night I noticed that the green lights above the heater/ventilation levers were not working. I eventually got round to removing the cover & found that the light were there & indeed they all worked fine, but the bulbs were just shoved back in the wiring, not clipped into place above the green lenses. Whoever fitted the cover obviously just couldn't be bother to fit the bulb holders in place first! Still, at least I had the parts actually on the car [:)]

OK quick rummage on the top shelf and found these bits which I think are the ones you need. Bit dusty but otherwise fine.
They are yours for the price of the postage or you can collect from Dursley. They weigh almost nothing so post should not be too much.
